Growing up into salvation (1 Peter 2:1-3)

The Christian life ought to be characterised by growth. Just like an infant grows after being  born into this world, a child born again by the Spirit should grow too. To this end, Peter appeals to our experience of the Lord’s goodness, exhorting us to long for the word of God, that by it we may grow toward the inheritance promised to us.
