It is extraordinarily common for Christians to need strength from the Lord. It’s everywhere in the Bible. When we feel weak, when we feel frail, tempted to fall away, lacking courage, where do we turn for strength? The believer is not encouraged to seek inner strength. Rather Paul encourages Timothy to be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The wonderful news is that we are not only saved by grace, we are continually strengthened by the grace of Christ to endure to the end.
