One great danger for the ongoing spread of the gospel, is if Christians are unwilling to suffer for it. In that case, the gospel would never have spread throughout the world, and there are unreached people today who will never hear the gospel. In our passage this week Paul encourages Timothy to share in suffering for the gospel and reminds him of how worthy of our suffering it really is.
