As we kick off the new series on The Church in the World, we are asking: what is the heart of the church? What gives spiritual life to a church? What sustains its life? What we find is that it is not something we can make happen for ourselves. It is not staging experiences of God. The means by which the Spirit gives life to his people is the faithful proclamation of God’s Word.
